One of my favorite go to place for Cantonese style noodles! The wonton is probably the size of a golf ball and has large chunks of prawns in it. The beef brisket and tendon noodles soup with those wontons are my top picks here. The chicken wings will always be my order as well as the fried tofu.

(See below for why 5/5 even though 4/5 for food!) Food is great, served hot and fast. The wontons and noodles are done well. I’ve also come back a few times for deep fried appetizers which are tasty. All in all, it is great for what it is. Service is fast and efficient, which may come off as unfriendly for some but it’s only because they want to get your food to you as quickly as possible! I ordered a regular wonton mixed noodle which they delivered on. I was shocked and surprised when the owners decided to give me an extra dumpling and bowl of soup a few minutes later free of charge! That really put it over the top for me. Atmosphere is excellent. There is the hum of the Cantonese news playing on the TV in the background.

Tsim Chai really hits with the classic Cantonese dishes with big fat shrimp wontons, tender and saucy beef haw fun, and breaded white fish entrees. It’s got the classic lemon tea to wash them down, and the prices are quite reasonable. Plenty of parking in front and around the complex. Service is with a smile and quick. Located in Richmond about 15 min drive in traffic from YVR airport.

Wonton noodles, congee, and all their dishes are really delicious (cantonese parent approved) - worth a try!

This is the place for shui kau noodle soup. For 11.95 , it’s a great price. It’s fresh and can not be beat. I highly recommend this dumpling place. Check out the photos , the dumplings are huge and the stuffing is awesome. I travel the world and this is the place I come to when I’m in Richmond BC. A thumbs up!!! Ed ( San Francisco ) April 2024, I returned to tsim chai noodles. The quality is the same, very good but the portions are smaller and the price has gone up. I would still recommend but I would order few items . So I can try more different restaurants around the different strip malls. I discovered the happy day restaurant near the Walmart about 5 minutes by Lyft or Uber. The portions are huge at the happy day restaurant.

Have been coming here for a long time, really enjoy the soup and the springyness of the wonton. Would be nice if the brisket was a bit softer as it's on the firm side but overall it's one of my favourite places to return.
